Most new PCs or laptops that include a Microsoft installation will automatically have the 64-bit version installed. While Sage’s system requirements article shows that they are compatible with Windows 11, if the Windows 11 installation includes the Microsoft 64-bit installation, it will not integrate as expected with Sage 50 US. Integration with Sage 50 US requires the use of 32-bit applications.
Microsoft will, by default, install the 64-bit version of the application and as such will not be compatible with Sage 50 US out of the box.
To use companion applications with Sage 50 US, such as Microsoft Outlook, customers will first need to uninstall the 64-bit version and then install the 32-bit version of the Microsoft software. Further information can be found on the Microsoft website located here.
